Did You Know?
Marci Maven mentions the titles of several [other] episodes of "Monk", namely Monk: Mr. Monk Goes Back to School
(2003) and Monk: Mr. Monk and the Astronaut
(2006), as if they were inside a show. Marci references the fourth wall later on by asking Monk, "What do you want to call this case? ... How about 'Mr. Monk is friggin' awesome'!? How about 'Mr. Monk and Marci: The Adventure Begins'?" to which Monk replies, "It doesn't matter. Nobody cares about the name. Just shut it." See more
When Marci shows Mr. Monk her diorama of "Mr. Monk and the Three Pies," Marci has a troll doll which she says is supposed to be Natalie. However, Natalie first appeared in the season 3 episode "Mr. Monk and the Red Herring," aired in January 2005, and "Mr. Monk and the Three Pies" aired in January 2004 as a season 2 episode. If it were to be correct, Marci's troll doll should depict Sharona Fleming instead. See more
Okay, how about this: you give me $600. When anybody bids on you, I'll outbid them.
That's a great idea. How do I get my money back?
You don't, it goes to charity.
Let's keep thinking.
