James Toback, director of Tyson and Black And White, has been accused of sexual harassment by 38 women, according to an article in yesterday's Los Angeles Times. The claims are remarkably similar in nature and allege that the director approached women in New York, persuaded them to accompany him to secluded places for auditions, then asked them explicit sexual questions and proceeded to masturbate in front of them.

Toback, 72, denies all the claims, saying that he doesn't remember meeting any of the women. He asserted that health issues would have made it impossible for him to behave as described.

Toback was proud of his flirtatiousness and titled a film based on his own life The Pick-Up Artist. He also directed 2013 documentary Seduced And Abandoned, which sets out to expose the way films are made and is rife with casual sexism, including a deeply uncomfortable...

Dozens of Women Accuse Director James Toback of Sexual Harassment
Oscar-nominated writer-director James Toback has been accused of sexually harassing at least 38 women stemming back to at least the 1980s.

A Los Angeles Times report explains that while some of the women were looking for work in the entertainment industry at the time of the alleged incidents, others were simply women Toback approached. 31 of the women agreed to speak on the record, and they all detailed various incidents in which Toback allegedly made lewd suggestions, steered conversations into sexually explicit territory, and in the worst instances, rubbed against them until he ejaculated into his pants or on their bodies.

“The way he presented it, it was like, ‘This is how things are done,’” actress Adrienne Lavalley said of a 2008 hotel room encounter that ended with Toback trying to rub his crotch against her leg. When she recoiled, he stood up and ejaculated in his pants. “I felt like a prostitute, an utter disappointment to myself,

Must Watch TV: Terry Crews’ A Thousand Miles vs. Mike Tyson’s Push It on Lip Sync Battle

I had to stop it midway through Tyson’s bit because I was just laughing too hard. Terry Crews and his pec-popping performance was interesting and pretty funny but Tyson coming out and just going off the wall nuts without really doing much to stay with the music was too much, I just had to bust up. Lip Sync Battle is something that you wouldn’t have ever thought would be a good idea for a show after the few scandals that have been seen to strike several artists throughout the years. However making it into something fun is paying off since

Thanks for the (mixed) Memories

Since making a comeback to tennis following the end of her 15-month ban in April, controversy continues to haunt Maria Sharapova at every turn. The one-time Wimbledon golden girl is in danger of being remembered for this sorry chapter, rather than the five Grand Slam titles that have made her a household name. Here, we present a list of five more sporting giants who, despite sweeping all before them, have also hit the headlines under more unenviable circumstances.

Alex Higgins

The outrageous Ulsterman was perhaps the most exciting player ever to pick up a cue, with two world championships in two different decades to back it up. There was never a dull moment with ‘The Hurricane’, but once snooker became televised on a regular basis and its popularity soared, those moments were rarely dull for all the wrong reasons. Higgins’ demons with drink and drugs were well-documented, but spats with

Michael Davis: Not The American Dream

  • Comicmix
When I was eight years old, I was racing my new Tonka toy truck up and down the concrete sidewalk on my block. I was doing so by bending over and pushing the truck as fast as I could with both hands.

The truck slipped out of my hand, and my momentum carried me quite a bit before I came to a stop.

I was fortunate my clothing protected most of me. Unfortunately, most of me did not include my face. My head skidded face down. As a result, the sidewalk tore much of the skin off my face.

My mother had just learned to drive and wasn’t very good at it.

I didn’t help I was screaming and crying as was my sister. She was screaming and crying not so much because my face looked like it had been through a meat grinder but because my mother was screaming and crying.

As part of Fusion TV’s new docuseries Outpost, Tyson, 50, flew out to Suriname with one of his 70+ birds to compete in a songbird contest. A long-running tradition in the country, these contests are all about testing a songbird’s chirping power. In Tyson’s round his bird got out an impressive 107 notes, but was beaten by the contest’s champion,
