When Sam and Dean investigate the disappearance of a man who was looking into a tourist attraction known as "The Mystery Spot" -- where the laws of physics don't apply -- Sam is thrown into a repeating loop, living the same day over and over, and watching Dean die each time in a different way as Sam avoids the method that killed him the last time. Did You Know?

When the brothers are posing as reporters, interviewing the Mystery Spot owner, Sam gets worked up and Dean refers to him as, "Kolchak." This is a reference to the 1970s TV show, "Kolchak: The Night Stalker" about a newspaper reporter who uncovers supernatural causes in his investigations. See more »

The episode is supposed to take place in "Broward" county and there are potted palm trees on the street as Dean and Sam walk from the diner to the Mystery Spot. But it never gets cold enough in Broward County, Florida, to see one's breath, at least not during the daylight hours. See more »

I wonder what does Sam do with the rules by his bed!

On"Tall tales' I mentioned I'm not really crazy about the Trickster and this is why.

Sam gets trapped in something like a ground hog day with Dean dying everyday no matter how Sam tries to prevent it. To make matters worse Dean, who is supposed to help him wakes up every day not knowing what happened and Sam is forced to fill him in over and over again. On the hundredth Tuesday Sam finally finds out that the Trickster is behind that. On trapping the Trickster, he admits that he is doing that out of revenge on the boys who tried to kill him before. But when Sam threatens to kill him, he sends the boys on a Wednesday where Dean dies permanently this time. Having to suffer for months without Dean, Sam is turned into an obsessed version of John trying to get revenge for his brother. When he finally captures the Trickster, he tells Sam that it is a lesson for him so that he would stop trying to save his brother as Dean is his weakness and "The bad guys know it too". However Sam pleads with him to bring Dean back, promising him that they won't track him. Seeing that it's pointless to make Sam understand, he sends Sam on another Wednesday where Dean is alive again.

What is annoying me about this episode, is that "The bad guys" are always convincing Sam that Dean is his weakness and that he will be the death of him. While we all know that Dean is Sam's guarding angel and if it wasn't for him Sam would have been killed several times already, God knows he already did. Besides, Why is the Trickster so concerned about helping Sam if he calls that help, last time I checked they were not face-book pals! And now thanks to him Sam will be scarred for life remembering all those torturous months without his brother. (And for Sam to see Dean die this many times without ever being able to stop it, is just too cruel) But I believe this episode is a turning point in Sam's persona and will sure have its massive effect on his future calls.

The writing of the episode was magnificent, I was worried that would be boring doing the same day over and over again but thank God I was wrong. Dean's deaths were hilarious and Jared's performance was more than great, Applaud to you Jared.

My favourite part was,(and I don't know if any one noticed, because I didn't at first) When Sam was eating in a motel room after Dean died for what seemed permanently, We can see that he bought his brother his Bacon cheeseburger even though there was no Dean to eat it, That was just so so sad.
