When Sam and Dean investigate the disappearance of a man who was looking into a tourist attraction known as "The Mystery Spot" -- where the laws of physics don't apply -- Sam is thrown into a repeating loop, living the same day over and over, and watching Dean die each time in a different way as Sam avoids the method that killed him the last time. Did You Know?

When the brothers are posing as reporters, interviewing the Mystery Spot owner, Sam gets worked up and Dean refers to him as, "Kolchak." The episode is supposed to take place in "Broward" county and there are potted palm trees on the street as Dean and Sam walk from the diner to the Mystery Spot. But it never gets cold enough in Broward County, Florida, to see one's breath, at least not during the daylight hours. See more »

Dean Winchester: [after Sam caught the falling hot sauce bottle] Nice reflexes.
Sam Winchester: I knew it was going happen, Dean. I know everything that's going to happen.

Reliving the worst part of your life over and over
9 September 2010 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Mystery Spot remains the best episode of Season 3 and one of the best of the entire series. It's ability to mix comedy and drama is incredible. In it's first half, it is hilarious, yet looking at it from a morbid sense, it is also completely heart-breaking.

Sam knows what will happen in the future and he has to live with experiencing the death of his brother, not one, but countless number of times. The episode shows just how much Sam will need Dean once he is gone, and the way the episode transitions from a comedy point of view to a very serious side is magnificent. A must-see for any Supernatural fan!
