Dean Cain- not a Super man here, 19 October 2007

The 136th episode of the "Smallville" series welcomes former "Superman"
actor Dean Cain back into a show about the Man of Steel.
However, he's not so great and super as he was in the early 90's with
Teri Hatcher. In 'Cure,' he's a maniac doctor named Curtis Knox who
knows how to do brain surgery on meteor freaks, removing their
infection. However, he wants to kill them in the aftermath! Before any
of the main characters realize this, Chloe Sullivan goes to see Dr.
Knox to remove her infection. Only after a surprising helping hand from
now-nemesis Lex Luthor is Clark able to resolve the problem.
It was great to see another actor from the "Superman" movie and/or TV
story on the show. He marks the first actor from the Superman mythology
on screen that wasn't in the Christopher Reeve films. All the others-
Reeve, Margot Kidder, Annette O'Toole, Terence Stamp- all were from
that era. In addition, as far as the plot went, it was interesting to
see Lex actually assist Clark. Could a piece of Lex's heart actually
have changed?

Welling=Superman. Dean Cain=Villain, 26 December 2007

First off, Dean Cain is NOT Superman in this episode of my favorite Superman interpretation of Smallville. Tom Welling IS Superman!! (Ok, so he's not wearing the tights in this series) but, he is Christopher Reeve's successor! Dean Cain did a better job as a villain in this one episode than he did as Clark/Superman in Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, back in the 90's. Also, Superman Returns' Brandon Routh is Dean Cain's successor (which is not a good thing. Because, I don't like either one of those actor's.) Tom Welling, on the other hand, the first time I saw Smallville, I thought I was looking at a younger Christopher Reeve the first time I saw Tom. Welling is Christopher Reeve's true successor for the Man of Steel! And, he didn't need to be on the big screen (unlike the loser, Brandon Routh, who looks NOTHING and acted NOTHING like Christopher Reeve.) Brandon Routh is Dean Cain's successor, and Tom Welling is Christopher Reeve's successor. Watch Christopher Reeve's guest starring episode's of Smallville, Rosetta and Legacy, and you'll understand what I'm talking about.
