Storyline

Lex hires Dr. Curtis Knox who claims that he can "cure" someone from being a "meteor freak," changing their lives. Chloe takes an interest in this, but Dr. Knox may have another secret as Clark finds out that Dr. Knox is an ageless immortal who needs blood from kryptonite-infected people to keep his young wife eternally young. Meanwhile, Kara makes an alliance with Jimmy to find out where her spaceship crystal is being held, while John Jones warns Clark that Kara is dangerous and tells him to find the Kryptonian crystal before Kara does. Elsewhere, Lana secretly watches Lex through her Isis Foundation to help meteor freaks. Written by matt-282

Goofs

In the scene where Clark and Knox fight, Knox smashes his blue container with his weapon. Dean Cain- not a Super man here
19 October 2007 | by See all my reviews

The 136th episode of the "Smallville" series welcomes former "Superman" actor Dean Cain back into a show about the Man of Steel.

However, he's not so great and super as he was in the early 90's with Teri Hatcher. In 'Cure,' he's a maniac doctor named Curtis Knox who knows how to do brain surgery on meteor freaks, removing their infection. However, he wants to kill them in the aftermath! Before any of the main characters realize this, Chloe Sullivan goes to see Dr. Knox to remove her infection. Only after a surprising helping hand from now-nemesis Lex Luthor is Clark able to resolve the problem.

It was great to see another actor from the "Superman" movie and/or TV story on the show. He marks the first actor from the Superman mythology on screen that wasn't in the Christopher Reeve films. All the others- Reeve, Margot Kidder, Annette O'Toole, Terence Stamp- all were from that era. In addition, as far as the plot went, it was interesting to see Lex actually assist Clark. Could a piece of Lex's heart actually have changed?
