Storyline

"CORKED" ...is a hilarious tale told by documentary filmmakers of four distinctly different wineries and their intertwined fate in Northern California wine country. A prestigious celebrity wine critic is coming to the area and everyone is trying to make sure their wine ends up on his golden palate. A diverse group of characters inhabits this region, ranging from a fiercely independent "one man show" to an established 'family' winery where the word family is a registered trademark. An eccentric "rich kid" attempts to make his mark in his fathers newly acquired vineyard and "two marketing" executives are determined to tap into new markets with an edgy high-concept label. We follow this group through the toils of harvest, and their quest for recognition leading to the Golden Harvest Gala! Written by Anonymous

Charming mockumentary of the wine industry, with its pros and cons.

I happened to see this movie at the Sonoma Valley Film Festival and fell in love. I thought that the plot was charming and hilarious - I laughed so hard during the film I got a workout. I thought that the cinematography was wonderful and I thought that the movie flowed like...well...a good wine. I also found the cast to be wonderful! Everyone brought something to the table, from the tourists, to the town sheriff. Contrary to the previous comment, I found the sheriff to be hilarious and a wonderful add on to this cast. She allowed the viewer to see what "dangers" come with living in Napa Valley. All in all, I give the film two thumbs up and hope that you will all enjoy it as much as I did!
