A well-know rock star (who resembles in some way Mick Jagger) is the guest star in a TV-show hosted by his neighbor Sylvia (Joan Jett). He's the mentor of her son who used to go in and out of rehab and on-screen he appointed the teenager as the new guitarist in his incoming tour. She doesn't look happy, because he's got records overseas to woo boys underage and shortly after she's found dead in her apartment. Detectives figured out she fought against a cancer and she was a heavy drinker not so close to her son, with whom she had an argument at a restaurant the night of the murder. As the episode goes on, the story line become more and more tangled and there's a twist ending.

Wheeler had trouble in questioning the rock star, because she has been a huge fan of him since early age, in a sort of strange conflict of interests. Logan as usual is the one who finds out the smoking gun in the ashtray.
