Storyline

While taking his three-year-old son on an evening stroll in the park, stock analyst Skip Lowe is gunned down by someone familiar to him. While the police are investigating the shooting, Paloma Renzi, the mother of another toddler, is gunned down under similar circumstances. Detectives find a professional connection between the two victims, but a third murder victim with a three-year-old, Denise (who turns out to have actually been the first one killed) seems to have no connection to Skip and Paloma, until Goren and Eames discover that all three children have the same preschool in common. When the frightening motive of a parent murdering other parents to move their child up the waiting list, and into the exclusive Carnegie Hill Day, becomes apparent, they race to zero in on the killer.
