Pushed toward retirement
22 November 2014 | by (Buffalo, New York) – See all my reviews

This episode of Criminal Intent is all about senseless urban violence and the sway that one charismatic, but sociopathic man has over followers. In fact at the crime scene one of the perpetrators involuntarily urinated at the scene giving the detectives some nice DNA evidence.

Chris Noth and Alicia Witt catch the case of two young black men and a young black woman who were shot, the boys just executed, the girl who survives to give valuable evidence for the apprehension.

One of the perpetrators is Jesse Garcia who felt like those kids simply disrespected him and that was provocation enough to kill. The other two were a pair of wannabe gang members and both Logan and Valachi do go down that route for a bit.

Garcia is terrifyingly evil, one of those people who are just plain born twisted and there's no redemption like Charles Manson. A great argument for capital punishment. He might make death penalty opponents pause and take note.

As Mike Logan moves farther and farther toward a retirement option which Chris Noth did in his last Criminal Intent episode, this case was one where he decided it was too much and pushed him toward that decision.

Scary people in this world.
