‘Deep Blue Sea’ Sequel: Details Revealed About The Canceled Follow-up
Someone at Warner Premiere, the now obsolete company behind Lost Boys: The Tribe and Ace Ventura Jr.: Pet Detective, is responsible for depriving audiences of a Deep Blue Sea sequel. Not just any sequel, but an Aliens-esque sequel involving pirates, Navy Seals, and weaponized sharks. The movie, which Jack Perez (Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus) was hired to write […]

The CW Developing The Lost Boys TV Series

  • DailyDead
“Sleep all day. Party all night. Never grow old. Never die. It’s fun to be a vampire.” The CW is looking to tap into the fun and frightening concoction of Joel Schumacher’s The Lost Boys, as they are developing a TV series based on the beloved film.

Deadline broke the news about The Lost Boys TV series, which is being developed and written by Rob Thomas (iZombie, Veronica Mars) at The CW in conjunction with Gulfstream TV and Warner Bros Television.

According to Deadline, the series is being planned by Thomas as a massive seven-season story that would follow an immortal group of vampires (the Lost Boys) as they live through the triumphs and tribulations of each decade. Each season would be set in a new decade, with the debut season expected to take place in San Francisco circa 1967.

It’s unknown at this time whether or not

'The Lost Boys' is, hopefully, getting the (comic-book) sequel it deserves

'The Lost Boys' is, hopefully, getting the (comic-book) sequel it deserves
The Lost Boys was a landmark of ‘80s horror, released at a time when the two Coreys were forces to be reckoned with at the box office and big hair was the name of the game. Despite bringing in $32 million at the box office on a budget of $8.5 million, a sequel didn’t emerge until 2008, when the direct-to-dvd followup The Lost Boys: The Tribe (starring original cast member Corey Feldman, with a cameo by the late Corey Haim) was released to withering reviews but impressive numbers, with nearly $6 million in sales for Warner Premiere. That was followed by 2010’s The Lost Boys: The Thirst, also starring Feldman. Here’s the thing: I doubt many fans of the first movie consider the two direct-to-dvd followups to be worthy successors to the Joel Schumacher-directed original, which was critically well-received at the time and remains a beloved title to this day. The Lost Boys Is Getting a Comic Book Sequel

The Lost Boys Is Getting a Comic Book Sequel
Truth, justice and the American way prevail! It seems we're getting a true Lost Boys 2, only in the form of a comic. 30 years removed from the release of the original cult classic, this is perhaps the only way to go, especially since one of the main stars has long since drifted into the chilly night air of Santa Carla. The Lost Boys sequel comic will pick up where we last left Sam, Mike, his mother and their vampire fighting Grandpa.

There's no denying that The Lost Boys is an 80s cult classic that has a legion of fans. But the franchise hasn't exactly faired well over the past few decades. The movie was supposed to get a true sequel heading into the 90s, which never happened. It would have revolved around an all-girl vampire coven, and may have just been too far ahead of its time. It wasn't until 2008 that

Corey Feldman Says Female Lost Boys Reboot Is a Bad Idea | Exclusive
We haven't heard anything about The Lost Boys 4 since Lost Boys: The Thirst, the third movie in the series, came out in 2010. A year after that sequel's release, star Corey Feldman, who plays one half of the iconic Frog Brothers duo Edgar Frog, told us the franchise was basically dead. And that no new Frog Bros. adventure was moving forward. We recently caught up with the iconic 80s actor to talk about his new album Angelic 2 the Core, which is out now. And he sounds a bit more optimistic about the possibility of Edgar Frog rising from the ashes to fight evil monsters once again. But if he has his way about it, with his say and his sway looming over the franchise, whatever the next Lost Boys is, it probably won't follow the current trend in all-girl reboots.

You might say to yourself, 'But it says Boys right there in the title!

It's billed as a sequel to Cloverfield, but is 10 Cloverfield Lane all it seems? We take a look at the subject of unrelated sequels...

In an era where it's just about impossible to make a high-profile movie without at least something leaking onto the web, producer Jj Abrams seems to have pulled off the ultimate coup in recent months: he and his company Bad Robot have secretly created a follow-up, of sorts, to the 2008 hit monster movie, Cloverfield.

On the 15th January, a trailer landed for 10 Cloverfield Lane, a claustrophobic horror thriller that Abrams described in a statement to Collider as a "blood relative" of that earlier film directed by Matt Reeves.

The premise is this: Mary Elizabeth Winstead's character, Michelle, is injured in a car accident and wakes up in a bunker with 40-something survivalist, Howard (John Goodman).

Howard tells Michelle that some kind of

21 shocking straight-to-video sequels: How many have you seen?
What's the only thing worse than a sequel? The only prospect worse than paying £10 at your local cinema to have your favourite movie ruined, forever. The answer has three words. Straight-to-video.

In the '90s, home release sequels became fairly common. You'd greet them with surprise at your local Blockbusters and then want to pull your eyeballs out when you took them home and watched them. They're probably called straight-to-dvd or straight-to-Blu-ray now, but they still exist.

With the announcement that Dolph Lundgren will be starring in Kindergarten Cop 2 (because of course), here are 21 absolute stinking sequels - the vast majority of which weren't even considered good enough for the cinema. How many of them have you watched?

1. American Pie Presents: Band Camp

2. American Pie Presents: Beta House

Maybe it's the Eugene Levy factor - just why did he keep starring in all the sequels?! - but we have weird

#SDCC14 Exclusive: WWE Superstar Glenn "Kane" Jacobs Talks See No Evil 2

When he walked into the room, he nearly blotted out the sun that was peering through the hotel window while shining brightly on the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con. There I was, ready to go one-on-one with the demon Kane, and I managed to come out without a scratch.

Before I begin, at this time I'd like to thank Kane for not chokeslamming me when I tried putting him in a sleeper. Of course I kid, but he was eyeballing some chairs and tables ominously during our interview about the resurrection of Jacob Goodnight for the Lionsgate / WWE Studios film See No Evil 2.

"I was sort of shocked to get the call really because the first movie had been a commercial success with WWE Studios’ debut film, and I thought, 'Okay, we’re going to do a sequel pretty quickly,' and it didn’t happen for, like, several years," Glenn Jacobs,

WWE Studios is resurrecting the demon Kane as Jacob Goodnight in See No Evil 2, the upcoming sequel to See No Evil, but before speaking with the mammoth monster himself, we had the opportunity to sit with stars Danielle Harris and Kaj-Erik Erikson as well as directors Jen and Sylvia Soska.

"In the movie I play Amy," Harris (pictured) tells us of her character. "Amy works at the morgue and loves her job, dropped out of Med School to pursue it because she feels like at the end of the day we all end up here anyway."

"She’s got some family issues, issues with her brother, issues with her mother … not too far from real life. *laughs* I just so happen to be working, on my character's birthday, the night that … we pick up where the last one left off and there’s all these bodies … I’m always
