Sea of Acid

Thunderbirds are back. It's been a while. The usual format, of just under 22 mins for the episode. And just focusing on a few of the characters.

This time out, it's a solo mission for Gordon. We don't even get to see John, as Gordon is on his own at home when a message comes through from a mother and son scientist team - the former guest voiced rather well by Jennifer Saunders - who are trying to save the sea around the barrier reef, but trapped by acid that's gotten into the water.

An interestingly different launch sequence follows, as you might be thinking Thunderbird 4 has to be dropped by 2, but instead it comes out an underwater pen.

The rescue doesn't actually take too long, but manages a good bit of you know they will get out of this but still leaving you on the edge of your seat. Then comes the thrust of. Penelope and Parker are in the area and help out, but Gordon is intent on fixing the problem that got the acid in the water. Even though it's not a rescue as such.

Will his impetuosity get him into trouble? Penelope worries. Did he know she cared?

More of the usual kind of jeopardy follows. It's pretty good.

As is the Penelope Gordon scene that follows. A nice bit of well written and well acted character work.

Nice to have this show back. A fun little watch.
