- The international version shown at festivals is 70 minutes long. The TV version that premiered on ARTE in Germany and France is two minutes shorter because the end credits run faster.
- A 52-minutes version, assembled by the director, was edited for many territories as this the length of the international broadcast hour. Many viewers who saw this version on BBC where it was renamed In Search of Moebius wondered about what they had seen when the 70 minutes Moebius Redux was universally hailed at Fantastic Fest at almost the same time. The 52 minutes version mainly omits the parts that show the more self-centered side of Jean Giraud: The whole Appel-Guery sequence is missing as well as the part concerning the break-up of the friendship between Giraud and Phillipe Druillet.
- A 43 minutes version made for Canadian television was re-edited by producer Bart Simpson.
