Mohan, who is a doctor living in the US, has returned to India because there's some trouble. What kind of trouble, he's not sure, but his grandfather has called him to come so he does. His brother & his wife have disappeared, mysteriously, and their young son Tanya seems to be in a sort of trance. It seems that the brother & sister-in-law had some kind of falling out with the grandfather over the property and they have been assumed to be victims of a local witch. Coincidentally, on the premises, there's a woman who is casting some kind of black magic spells that are making Tanya this way but apparently the poor child had problems to begin with. The young actor playing the child does a pretty job of outdoing "Damien" from "The Omen" with sheer creepiness. Mohan is determined to get to the bottom of what is going on, and eventually he does, because an astrologer has told him that there are 15 doors within his old house but he can't find them all, and when he does, it's because he's shown it and therein lies a twist that I didn't see coming. This film maintains a consistent atmosphere of dread & foreboding and was very good overall. A must for anyone who likes horror from other cultures & enjoys something different. 8 out of 10.
