A sweet little romance
22 February 2009 | by (Bradenton, Florida) – See all my reviews

This is a sweet little romantic film about a guy who is scared when he goes on a blind date. In fact, he's so unsure of himself that repeatedly you hear his inner turmoil--should he hold her hand, does she like me or should I kiss her goodnight are all things he's thinking about--so much so that it's hard to tell if he's even having a good time. The people involved all did a good job and it would be nice to see them in a longer length film in the future.

I liked that the lady cast in the film was NOT the typical lady you'd expect to see. While very pretty, she was not a typical Hollywood beauty and I sure wish they'd cast people like this more often--it enhanced the film's message--making it more universal.

The only thing I did not love about the film was the very end. It didn't quite work for me because the man's final comment to himself came off as a bit crude and atypical of his other thoughts--perhaps too much. Still, it was a very minor quibble and it's a sweet, likable film.
