Tony thinks that Jeannie, while still locked in the safe, has been shot into space. However, Roger informs him that he managed to take it just before it was to be loaded on the rocket. Unfortunately, the Professor and his stooge Charlie, the two safe-crackers from the previous episode, steal the safe and are planning to open it when they have second thoughts when they remember that it is wired with explosives. They then call Dr. Bellows and inform him that they have it. Thinking that it is a hoax, Bellows tells them not to call again. The two safe-crackers then take it to a pawn broker, who then sells it to a scrap dealer. When Tony and Roger find out what happened, they run to the scrap yard before the safe, with Jeannie in it, is crushed to the size of a cigar box. Written by Brian Washington <Sargebri@att.net>

Scrapping the safe
26 October 2016 | by (Youngstown,Ohio) – See all my reviews

"Genie, Genie, Who's Got the Genie?" continues with Tony learning that Roger switched the actual moon safe with a substitute, only for the real one to disappear with the Professor (Edward Andrews) and Charley (Lou Antonio). Unwilling to take a chance on blowing up the safe with a wrong combination, the crooks decide to hold it for ransom. Unfortunately, Dr. Bellows believes that it's a crank call, so they give it away for scrap. The bad news for Tony is that he finds out where to locate the safe just as Harry's Scrap Yard is ready to crush it into the size of a sardine can. Harry (John Harmon) also phones Dr. Bellows, and with the knowledge that the actual safe is missing it finally dawns on him that it's not a prank. The switchboard operator is played by pretty Susan Howard, best remembered as the first female Klingon in STAR TREK's "Day of the Dove."
