Racketeer Jim Garrett and his henchman Eddie Peterson are determined to take over a gambling house in the small town of Glenridge. When they are spotted by Dan Mathews and Sergeant Williams, they select local garage owner Nolan Beale as an accomplice. Beale wins several thousand dollars with Garrett and Peterson's money, but unwisely attempts to double cross them by having his partner Gil Durbin take most of the money back to their garage. Garrett confronts Beale and kills him in a scuffle shortly before Dan and his officers raid the gambling house. When they discover Beale's body, they deduce that Garrett and Peterson are responsible and convince Durbin to help lure the two felons out into the open. Written by Sam Spear
