Perhaps more than any other show on TV, this show personifies what's wrong with our country these days.
Our host Guy goes looking for the best diners, drive-ins and dives and finds greatness everywhere. All of the food is not only good, not only great, but the best ever. Every barbecue has a great bark. When you squeeze every piece of meat, juice flows out of it. The people in the restaurants repeat the same things over and over again. Yes, everything is made fresh. Yes, it's better than homemade. The establishments' owners and chefs stand there with big grins, not knowing or not caring that Guy lovers EVERYTHING. There is nothing special about one place if EVERYPLACE is the best.
My America was a place with winners and loser, the best and the worst. This show is about the socialist place we are becoming, where there is no better or worse, only the best everywhere. Which means there is the best nowhere.
