The only good thing about Aaron Sorkin probably knowing by this point that 'Studio 60' wouldn't be returning for a second series is that he was able to wrap things up the way he wanted to, without having the awful cliff-hanger ending that never gets resolved.
There's a lot to like in this episode, from moments that display the excellent chemistry between Matt and Danny, to Sorkin being able to show us how they left 'Studio 60' in the first place.
Even at this late stage the people coming into the cast are fab, with James Lesure on top form here as Captain Boyle.
Yes, it's a bit preachy with its politics, but for being such high class entertainment, surely we can forgive that.
