Commander Wivenhoe has come down with a bad cold. While under his care, he argues with and belittles Doc to the point the physician quits and leaves camp. An upset young Everett kicks the commander as a result. Spiffy decides the best solution is to give Wivenhoe a terrible doctor to compare. Spiffy builds up a fictitious college buddy who is in town- Dr. Freddy Bumstead. He says the English physician is one of the best in London and is the royal physician to the queen. Spiffy plays the part himself in disguise. He comically proceeds to treat Wivenhoe for serious things he doesn't have and places half his body in a plaster body cast. The doctor gives up on Wivenhoe and drives him to the cemetery instead. It may be enough to want Doc back, if he can even be found.
