Storyline

Thalia will only go to the upcoming dance with Dobie if he signs a contract making him responsible for many expensive items for the dance, including having her dress cleaned beforehand. Despite having no money, Dobie signs. They may be able to save some money when they go to a new cleaner operated by a Mr. Edwards, who is having a promotional 2-for-1 special, so that Dobie can get his suit cleaned as well at the same price. Building upon the promotion, Thalia, with Dobie by her side, convinces Mr. Edwards to have them act as his agents, they who will bring business into the shop from their fellow dance attendees, in return for a modest commission. What Thalia and Dobie are unaware of is that the dry cleaning shop is just a front for Edwards and his partner for stealing clothes from their supposed clients. The questions become whether Thalia and Dobie will raise enough money to pay for the dance expenses, and/or if Edwards and his partner will be able to make off with all the clothes ...
