Did You Know?

Cassidy Cornell tells Benson and Stabler that she wants a deal where, if she tells them about the murders, they'll make sure she gets to San Francisco to meet up with other street kids. After telling about the murders, she asks if that's what they wanted, and Olivia says, "California here you come." That is a reference to the song "California, Here I Come" by Joseph Meyer, Al Jolson and Buddy G. DeSylva See more »

At the start a sniper is seen placing his scope to his eye. This is wrong because to see through the scope you need to place you eye slightly behind the scope as recoil will push the rifle back into your eye. See more »

Detective Elliot Stabler: So what happened that night?
Josie: Cassidy heard the rich girl call my dad a name.
Detective Olivia Benson: And what name was that?
Josie: Stupid fag. That's a no-no. Time for S.O.S.
Detective Olivia Benson: S.O.S.?
Josie: Stomp On Sight.

Street Urchins get organized
15 November 2012 | by (Buffalo, New York) – See all my reviews

This particular episode has the SVU squad dealing with a Dickensian like family of street urchins who are under the sway of a charismatic, but psychotic Fagin played by Thom Bishops. Fagin only organized his gang to pick pockets and cut purses. Bishops deals in murder and the murder of a débutante brings the SVU squad in.

Bishops has a female Nancy played by Mae Whitman as a second in command, but he's as psychotic with her as he is with the world in general. Come to think of it this Fagin is actually more like Bill Sikes.

Eventually Bishops is arrested and Diane Neal is prosecuting him with Whitman as the key witness. But that's far from the end of this story. Whitman is not all she seems and I'll leave it at that.

Oliver Twist never ran with a crew like this.
