Danny Finnegan is seen knocked to the floor of the boxing ring and spits out his mouth guard, then gets up and returns to the fight without replacing his mouth guard. When he gets knocked back down to the floor, the different camera angles then see him lying on the floor both with and without the mouth guard in the same sequence..
After being captured, Danny Finnegan is in the boxing ring and with his first bout, is seen taking a wide swing solid punch to the mid forehead that knocks him down, but after the fight, there is no mark or bruise in his mid forehead.
Danny Finnegan is involved in several bouts, but between fights, his wounds miraculously partially healed before the next fight. Given that the battle of Dunkirk was only seven days and an event during his fights show that the series of fights occurred within those 7 days, it is impossible have wounds heal so rapidly, nor fail to produce severe swelling and bruising that would last for many days, certainly more days than the seven day battle.
Danny Finnegan is seen after a fight with a very substantial wound to the very edge of his left eye, but this same serious wound never at any time miraculously caused his eye to swell or blacken.
The German Officer introduces himself to the POW's as the rank of Hauptscharführer, but the rank insignia on his uniform is that of the rank of Sturmführer.
The barbed wire seen around the POW enclosure is an obvious light gauge which is a dead give away that it is "high tensile" barbed wire which was not in manufacture until the late 1970's.
The German SS Officers uniforms look very untidy. The epaulets on their collars crooked, poorly fitting, crumpled etc... No SS Soldier in the battle of Dunkirk ever looked that shabby.
In the early battle scene, occasional random orange tracer bullets can be seen fired by the Germans. Two errors... 1. The German tracer bullets at Dunkirk were green, and, 2. Tracer bullets were only fired from a machine gun to see where the automatic fire was landing, and not from a single shot rifle as depicted in this movie.
Close ups of the German Helmets reveal the texture to show that are molded plastic.
The leading SS Officer's hat looks like he had sat on it. The Brim had an s-curve and the crown warped. Higher ranking SS Officers always dressed impeccably in reality.
Early in the movie as the British retreat, in a single unbroken camera pan, you can see a soldier firing his Enfield 303 rifle, lower his gun , then raise it again to fire another shot without reloading.
Danny Finnegan is knocked down and is seen at the corner talking with his coach, but the round is still going and the referee is not doing a ten count.
In the early scenes, the viewer sees the troopers dutifully using the bolts on their Lee Enfield's to load another round. No empty shell casings are ejected. Even a blank fire rifle, has to eject the old shell before another can take its place.
The British soldiers are seen traversing through heavily wooded forests, whereas in reality, Dunkirk only has lightly wooded Hedgerows bordering farmland.
Drexler introduces himself as a hauptsturmführer (captain) but wears the insignia of an obersturmführer, (lieutenant) and refers to Lang as an obersturmbannführer (lieutenant colonel) but who wears the insignia of a sturmbannführer (major).
The lead character, Danny Finnegan (Sam Gitten), except when in the boxing ring, is always clean shaven and his hair perfectly combed - not at likely for a POW.
