WWE Judgment Day 2007
Disappointing, that's the thought that comes into my head when I think about Judgment Day.

Did anybody need to see (again) Ric Flair vs Carlito? The match was lame and all Flair did was chops, and he won! A waste of Carlito, he should have been in there with someone who is athletic like Kenny, but not Flair. The US title match in which MVP defeated Chris Benoit in 2 straight falls, was slow, granted these two have had great matches at Wreslemania 23 and Backlash, but I thought the whole idea of 2 out of 3 falls matches was to have the 2 wrestlers to have 1 fall a piece so the last fall becomes the most interesting, the crowd was dead for this match. The Bobby Lashley vs The McMahon's and Umaga match was too short and when McMahon declared that Lashley needed to pin him the for the ECW title, I was miffed and so were the fans.

The CM Punk and Elijah Burke match for me just didn't cut the mustard. Granted these two have talent, but the match seemed slow at times, and Batista in his match got booed whilst some of the fans cheered Edge! A complete shambles! The only match I enjoyed was The Hardy Boyz vs Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch. It was very good and even though Murdoch appears to have lost weight, he still looks about 50. Murdoch and Cade are the 3rd best tag team in WWE behind the Hardyz and Paul London and Brian Kendrick.

Results from the show: Ric Flair defeated Carlito via figure four leg lock in a lame match. Bobby Lashley defeated The McMahon's and Umaga when he pinned Shane in a passable match. CM Punk downed Elijah Burke in a disappointing match. MVP downed Chris Benoit in two straight falls to win the US title. The Hardyz defeated Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch in the best match of the night. Randy Orton defeated Shawn Michaels via stoppage. Edge beat Batista with a cheap roll up in a passable match. John Cena defeated the Great Khali in a average match via the STFU.

Grade - C/D

Such an under-rated Smackdown PPV is
kliko40028 October 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I always liked Smackdown, and watching this PPV just shows that Smackdown is the flagship of the WWE. But looking at the ratings and reviews, my goodness how under rated this PPV is, there's hardly anything wrong with it.

FIRST MATCH- RIC FLAIR VS. CARLITO It started off slow, then came out as a psychological match as Carlito worked on Flair's arms throughout the whole match. Flair needs to have more moves in his arsenal, as all he did in this match was hardly chops. Flair wins after making Carlito tap out to the Figure 4. 5/10

SECOND MATCH- BOBBY LASHLEY VS. VINCE MCMAHON {CHAMPION}, SHANE MCMAHON & UMAGA IN A 1 ON 3 HANDICAP MATCH FOR THE ECW CHAMPIONSHIP I like this match as a shocker as to how short it lasts. Lashley dominates for about a minute, before pinning Shane to win his ECW title back. After the match, Vince McMahon announces that he is still the champion as he did not get pinned. May be a cheap outcome, but the rivalry still continues between Mr. McMahon & Lashley. 5/10

THIRD MATCH- CM PUNK VS. ELIJAH BURKE Surprisingly this was match of the night, as both these two young starts just show why they are the future of WWE at the moment. Great match, as these two need to have a 20 minute match. CM Punk wins after nailing the GTS {Go To Sleep} on Elijah Burke. 6/10

FOURTH MATCH- HARDY BOYS {CHAMPIONS} VS. LANCE CADE & TREVOR MURDOCH FOR THE WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS This match was somewhat similar to their Backlash bout, but still was a very good match. Hardy Boys win after Twist Of Fate, then an Swanton Bomb to retain their World Tag Team titles. 5/10

FIFTH MATCH- RANDY ORTON VS. SHAWN MICHAELS This had a potential to be the best match of the night. But Shawn Michaels was seriously injured, suffering a concussion at the hands of Great Khali on Raw about 2 weeks ago. Randy Orton completely destroyed Michaels, targeting his severely injured head until the referee stopped the match and awarded Orton the win. After the match, Shawn Michaels was taken away on a stretcher with the help of trainers and his own wife. 3/10

SIXTH MATCH- EDGE {CHAMPION} VS. BATISTA FOR THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP I was actually expecting a bit more from this match, as this was for the Heavyweight title, and every World title match is a good one. Edge is okay as champion, but thank goodness Batista is not champion, as he is the worst wrestler and worst former champion as well. Edge retains his title by a roll up on Batista. 4/10

SEVENTH MATCH- CHRIS BENOIT {CHAMPION} VS. MVP IN A 2 OUT OF 3 FALLS MATCH FOR THE WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP An okay match, but a little too much submission and UFC style moves involved. It was alright with MVP focusing on Benoit's knee throughout the match. MVP wins the second fall after a surprise roll up on Benoit to win the US title for the first time. 5/10

EIGTH MATCH- JOHN CENA {CHAMPION} VS. GREAT KHALI FOR THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP First mistake WWE did was put Khali in a main event, as seriously he just cannot wrestle. But I was really surprised with this match, as it was really enjoyable, mostly by John Cena who is the greatest WWE Champion at the moment, after Randy Orton. Cena makes Khali tap out for the first time to retain his WWE title and end Khali's 14 month undefeated streak. 5/10

This PPV was really under rated, as it was an enjoyable event, as mostly all Smackdown PPV's are. I like it, but why it is so under rated, I guess I'll never know.

Overall I'll give it 7/10 & a C+
