This is truly terrifying. Witness the shocking aftermath of the devastating wildfire that destroyed Cara Delevingne’s luxurious $7 million Los Angeles residence. Indeed, the entire Los Angeles home that belonged to the London-born model-actress was gutted in a fire on Friday.
Currently making her stage debut as Sally Bowles in the West End musical Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club (Playhouse Theatre), Delevingne, 31, was not staying at her LA residence at the time of the dramatic fire. According to the public information officer, they found that a “heavy fire” had started around the back of the building and had “consumed one of the rooms”.

Cara Delevingne is mourning a loss she experienced when she lost her house to a fire. Early this morning, Cara’s house was burned to the ground. There were no people inside the home, but her two cat’s lives were lost in the fire. This is a hard loss for her to mourn as she loved her two pets more than anything. Any pet owner feels bad for Cara and what she is going through.
Cara Delevingne And Her Perfectly Made Home
Cara Delevingne made her house perfect for her. She made each room a different theme and felt it was her “adult playhouse”. It seems as though this was Cara’s safe space, and she has now lost it.
“The theme of this house, it’s not Alice in Wonderland. Every room has a different theme, but I feel like the theme of this is definitely Mad Hatter’s tea party.

Johnny Depp wanted to congratulate his friend Robert Downey Jr. for his Oscar win Sunday night, but it didn’t necessarily go as planned.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor initially took to his Instagram Story to celebrate the Oppenheimer star by sharing a photo of the pair together. However, it turned out it wasn’t a real photo of them but rather a photoshopped picture.
The real photograph taken in November 1988 featured Downey with his then-girlfriend Sarah Jessica Parker at a Young Artists Unite event in Los Angeles. But the photoshopped image replaced Parker with Depp and has actually circulated on social media and fan sites for years.
The Alice in Wonderland actor quickly deleted the photo and later shared another (real) photo of him with the Iron Man star at the Golden Globes in 2011. “Let’s try this again… congrats to my dear friend,” Depp wrote in the caption.

Speaking of thrillers that play at the edge of horror– Hunting Daze stands out as a peculiar, yet captivating piece. Directed by the Canadian filmmaker Annick Blanc, who also co-produced and wrote the screenplay, this film is a testament to the blurry lines between genres, offering an experience that is as haunting as it is elusive.
At the heart of Hunting Daze is Nina (Nahéma Ricci), a young and spirited stripper who finds herself marooned in a northern Quebec forest town. Luckily, she’s able to convince a group of five men on a bachelor party/hunting trip to put her up for a few days while she waits for a bus back to the city. Within this exclusively male domain- filled with dumb jokes, silly games, lots of partying, and wolf pack philosophy- Nina discovers a surprising sense of acceptance. The Beatles’ longtime producer George Martin worked with them on each album they put out in the 1960s. He was a key part of their success and got to know them well throughout their collaboration. Their antics, particularly in the early 1960s, grew familiar to him. Still, they sometimes pushed Martin too far. He shared what they did to let him down for the very first time.
The Beatles frustrated George Martin while recording songs in German
In the early 1960s, The Beatles traveled to Paris for a concert. While they were there, Martin booked them studio time to record German language versions of “She Loves You” and “I Want to Hold Your Hand.” A record company executive believed there was no chance the songs would sell in Germany if they were in English.
“I was disinclined to believe this, but that’s what he said and I told The Beatles,...

Out of the many movies you could imagine emerging from the mind of French auteur Bruno Dumont, a Star Wars parody was probably somewhere at the bottom of the list.
And yet it’s been some time since the Cannes Grand Jury Prize laureate, who broke out in the late 90s with viscerally stylized, hard-hitting works of Gallic realism like The Life of Jesus and Humanity, has strayed far from his gritty roots towards a brand of accentuated arthouse satire.
His latest effort, the sci-fi farce The Empire (L’Empire), definitely fits the latter mold, although it’s loaded with enough VFX, light saber battles, spacecrafts and prophecies to give George Lucas a run for his money. That is, if Lucas decided to set the next Star Wars in a sleepy northern French city, used a local mechanic to play one of the leads and tossed in a few flagrant sex scenes,...

Some categories go together naturally, like Best Picture and Best Director. It’s no different in the below-the-line categories, either, with Best Costume Design, Best Production Design and Best Makeup and Hairstyling having an interesting relationship with one another.
The three design awards are often paired or grouped together as a trio and awarded to the same film. Most recently, “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” won both Best Costume Design and Best Makeup and Hairstyling. Let’s take a closer look at this trifecta of categories and examine the last 20 ceremonies to break down how often these awards overlap.

Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” isn’t new to the “turn something innocent into a horror movie” fad. Brave gamers might remember diving into the twisted mind of American McGee’s Alice, or indie film diehards could have caught 2010’s Alice in Murderland. Writer and director Richard John Taylor explores forbidden but charted territory with his fresh psychological thriller Alice in Terrorland, which can’t help but earn comparisons to other horror forward Wonderland adaptations. Luckily for Taylor’s cerebrally nasty and visually slick reimagining, the average lookalike doesn’t set a high bar to clear — hardly spectacular, but damn sure better than something like Alice in Murderland.
Lizzy Willis stars as little orphan Alice (named after Carroll’s book), the only survivor of a house fire that claimed her parents’ lives. Alice relocates to her grandmother’s sprawling yet dilapidated estate, where Ruth (Rula Lenska) assumes caretaking duties.

Alice in Wonderland's success was due to the combination of Tim Burton's gothic style and Disney's powerful marketing. The familiarity and nostalgia factor of Lewis Carroll's classic novel attracted a wide range of audiences to the movie. The collaboration between Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, and Disney, along with the novelty of live-action remakes, contributed to the film's success.
Tim Burton is one of the most stylistically distinct filmmakers of all time, with dozens of cult films in his filmography, but for all his talent, one of his movies was much more commercially successful than any other, Alice in Wonderland. Burton has been making films for Hollywood since the 1980s, but many of his movies have found their niche with a dedicated audience who love his uniquely quirky and gothic aesthetic. His work has also been critically acclaimed, nominated for two Oscars, and won dozens of other awards.

Exclusive: What does it take to become Civil Rights icon Martin Luther King Jr? David Oyelowo took on the challenge for Ava DuVernay’s underrated 2014 film Selma. It’s all there in Becoming King, a new documentary coming to Paramount+.
The 1965 march through the segregationist state of Alabama resulted in brutal beatings by local authorities and white vigilante groups as activist marchers crossed the Edmund Pettus Bridge en route to the state house in Montgomery. They didn’t get there, that day. Called Bloody Sunday, the nationally televised footage was shocking and shameful, and it left activist and future congressman John Lewis with a fractured skull. Six days later, President Lyndon Johnson had seen enough and gave a nationwide TV address pledging support for a National Voting Rights bill that became law after he introduced it in Congress. It was a milestone moment.

Forget Batman, forget the X-Men. The greatest rogues gallery in comics history belongs to Spider-Man. So great are his baddies that Sony continues to spend millions of dollars to launch a cinematic universe around them. And while Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, and Venom continue to get most of the attention, even B-level guys like the Spot have been elevated to big bads.
But let’s be honest, even Spider-Man comics have a few duds when it comes to bad guys. Even if we took out the horrendous mess that was the Clone Saga (and we aren’t going to take it out), Spider-Man would still have too many losers and redundant villains to count. So, here are the absolute worst of the worst in Spider-Man’s villain roster, characters so dull that they aren’t good for much besides getting killed in a crossover event.

The road to the Oscars is checkered with awards group accolades, but uncertainties still lie ahead. Honors are imminent from several industry bodies — DGA, PGA, BAFTA and SAG — all of which share AMPAS members, setting the stage for potential surprises and maybe more question marks. The biggest one of all: Will the Academy go its own way, or will it unanimously favor Christopher Nolan’s epic “Oppenheimer,” potentially setting a record for most wins for a best picture winner since “Slumdog Millionaire” took eight in 2008. Setting aside that known unknown, here’s a look at the races that are firmly in flux as the big night fast approaches.

Disney, assailed by activist investors, launched a new website today called VoteDisney with a video featuring Donald Duck’s uncle and other animated creatures telling shareholders what to do to keep the company’s board of directors intact, and showing them how to do it.
“Friends, relatives and estimated chairman, you’re probably all wondering what we’re doing here today,” said Professor Ludwig Von Drake, the 1961 Disney character, leading into a voiceover that insisted, “We need you to all vote for your board … voting is easy.”
“Remember it’s important you vote only for Disney’s 12 nominees using the white proxy card. Do not vote for the Trian group or Blackwell’s nominees. Voting this year is critical no matter how many or how few shares you may own … Please vote all of your shares on all of your accounts.”

C.S. Lewis’ Narnia books and The Beatles’ songs are two of post-war England’s most valuable cultural exports. Paul McCartney said one of The Beatles’ songs is about a place that John Lennon felt was similar to Narnia. John did an incredible job of translating his feelings into music.
Paul McCartney said 1 Beatles song was inspired by a ‘wild garden’
In the 1997 book Paul McCartney: Many Years From Now, Paul discussed Strawberry Field, the orphanage that inspired The Beatles’ “Strawberry Fields Forever.” “I’ve seen Strawberry Fields described as a dull, grimy place next door to him that John imagined to be a beautiful place, but in the summer it wasn’t dull and grimy at all: it was a secret garden,” Paul recalled.
“John’s memory of it wasn’t to do with the fact that it was a Salvation Army home; that was up at the house,...

‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ creator Tim Burton and ‘Gone Girl’ writer Gillian Flynn are tackling a remake of ‘Attack of the Fifty Foot Woman’ for Warner Brothers.
Burton is directing the upcoming film from a script by Flynn. The science-fiction horror story follows a wealthy heiress who grows into a giant after an alien encounter and exacts revenge on her cheating husband, reports Variety.
It’s unclear how closely this new take will follow the original 1958 movie, starring Allison Hayes, William Hudson and Yvette Vickers.
The first film reportedly carried a budget of just $88,000, so it’s reasonable to assume the remake will have a slightly higher price tag.
The project reteams Burton with Warner Bros., where he is currently working on the sequel to his 1988 movie ‘Beetlejuice’.

Burton's movies have a distinctive gothic visual style that sets them apart from other filmmakers. Burton often includes ghoulish frights, even in seemingly child-friendly films like Dumbo and Alice in Wonderland. Some of Burton's most terrifying scenes include Large Marge's form reveal in Pee-wee's Big Adventure and the Joker's transformation in Batman.
From Beetlejuice to Sleepy Hollow, Tim Burton is renowned for the spooky atmosphere of his films, and he’s created some truly terrifying scenes to keep his audience up at night. Burton’s movies have an unmistakably quirky, gothic visual style that immediately identifies them as his work. Just like there’s no mistaking a Tarantino movie or a Lynch movie, there’s no mistaking a Burton movie. Even when he takes on a seemingly child-friendly property like Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland, or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Burton can’t resist including some ghoulish frights.

With the announcement of a live-action adaptation of the highly successful animated feature film How to Train Your Dragon, many are quick to question the true intentions of the creators at Dreamworks and Universal. Though some scoff at the mere mention of a new reboot, there should be reasonable anticipation for the potential narratives and creative possibilities of an expanded Dragon universe.
The odds are surely stacked against Universal. Audiences and critics seem to be weary of the exhaustive effort Disney has put into their live-action adaptations. Starting with 2010’s Alice in Wonderland, Disney has repeatedly brought their animated favorites to real life with upcoming releases including Snow White, Moana, and Lilo & Stitch.
Universal has also struggled to launch an expanded cinematic universe. Their unsuccessful Dark Universe, initiated by Tom Cruise’s Mummy adaptation, failed enough to shut down the whole operation. Fast & Furious is currently delayed due to...

In the 1995 movie "Waterworld," Kevin Costner was the draw in more ways than one. To much of the audience, he was still the glamorous movie star who had managed to pull off a blockbuster "Robin Hood" movie despite his inability to successfully nail an English accent. To others, he seemed like he might be a potential trainwreck on the verge of derailment. "Waterworld" had fallen victim to many behind-the-scenes tales of sinking sets, director fights, and Costner rewriting the script to make himself look better. Ultimately, for one reason or another, enough people were curious about the film that it turned a profit. However difficult he may have been behind the scenes, the star turned out to still have it.
Within the movie, however, the person everyone wants to see is Enola, a nine year-old girl whose back tattoo features an encoded map to the last bit of dry land on a post-climate change world.

As expected, Justin Timberlake dropped his new single and video “Selfish” today, just ahead of tonight’s appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon and two days before his appearance as musical guest on NBC’s Saturday Night Live.
The single is the first from his upcoming, long-in-coming album Everything I Thought It Was. The album, set for a March 15 release by RCA, is his first since Man of the Woods in 2018.
“I worked for a long time on this album and I ended up with 100 songs,” Timberlake says in a promotional interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, released today to coincide with the single’s debut. “So narrowing them down to 18 was a thing, and then, yeah, I’m really excited about this album. I think every artist probably says this, but it is my best work.”

Tim Burton's return with Beetlejuice 2 sparks a secret box office battle with another major filmmaker. Burton is the 11th most lucrative director of all time, closely behind the filmmaker in 10th place. Beetlejuice 2's success could help Burton reclaim his box office status and surpass his rival in the rankings.
Tim Burton's horror return with Beetlejuice 2 is understandably exciting for fans, but behind the scenes, the movie promises to reignite a secret contest between Burton and another major filmmaker. Since 1985, the Batman, Alice in Wonderland, and Edward Scissorhands director has become a household name thanks to his signature gothic aesthetic and the enduring success of many of his movies. This makes any new Burton release big news. However, the fact that Beetlejuice 2 happens to coincide with another legacy sequel makes the movie potentially even more interesting.

X-Men has yet to produce a $1 billion movie, with Deadpool 2 coming closest at $785 million worldwide. The Mission: Impossible franchise has also not hit the $1 billion mark, with Mission: Impossible - Fallout earning $791 million. Shrek 2 fell only $72 million short of $1 billion, making it the closest film in the franchise to reach that milestone.
Franchises and sequels frequently have $1 billion expectations at the box office, but there are still a handful of popular franchises that have yet to have a movie cross that milestone. The 2010s were responsible for a significant rise in how frequently a movie's box office haul could cross nine figures. Hollywood's increased ability to produce $1 billion box office hits made that achievement the goal for just about every major blockbuster. The various franchises within the Marvel Cinematic Universe have made 10 movies that surpassed this total, while Star Wars has five such box office hits and the Jurassic franchise has four.

Disney's live-action remakes have declined in quality in recent years, resulting in less success and harsh reviews from critics and audiences. The upcoming live-action remake of "How To Train Your Dragon" is the most exciting because it brings a new spin to a beloved story and offers a fresh fantasy adventure that sets it apart from Disney's remakes. The return of the original director, Dean DeBlois, ensures that fans can trust that the remake is being led by someone who loves the franchise, making it easy to be excited about.
Live-action remakes have become increasingly popular in Hollywood, but the most exciting one does not come from Disney. The idea of remaking animated movies in animation is something that Disney did for decades before Alice in Wonderland's $1 billion box office performance in 2010 showed the studio the type of financial reward they could bring. This led to an increased effort...
