Memory Refreshed
ZegMaarJus21 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This Episode begins with Jack, he wakes up after a really bad nightmare. Jack is competing to become a cheerleader. Jack hears a really annoying sound. Jack changed into a werewolf. Jack again hears the ringing sound. A student has been killed by a secret magical spell. The Knights got invited by Alyssa. Jack discovered that he met Randall, Hamish and Lilith before. The Knights will get their memories back and will be a part of The Order. Solid Episode of The Order Season 2, not a really got beginning of this Season. I expect more from this Series! Jack wants to kill Alyssa, can he do this with the help from The Nights?!

This was a decent premiere. Not very exciting, though. But I guess it's alright.

Warning: Spoilers
This was a decent start to the season. The cliffhanger that the first season ended on was resolved rather quickly but I feel like that was the best scenario than the alternative of dragging it out and waiting too long to resolve it.

And that also means there's probably going to be a big danger that's lurking in the shadows and about to strike, to be the focus of this season because I don't think taking down the Order will be the entire (and main) focus. They never struck me as "the enemy", although they were probably more evil-like in the first season with Edward Coventry at the helm. Vera doesn't seem that bad and certainly doesn't seem like a villain, which gives me the impression that, regardless of what Jack said at the end, something or other will get in the way of that and will also lead to the Knights and the Order teaming up once again, and that will probably result in leaving the past in the past, regardless of deep, strong feelings about the repressed memories situation that still exist, as well.

As for the rogue practitioner, at least that's what I'm assuming, who is being very stalker-like with recording videos, for whatever reason, and killed those two students, I don't think she will be that important. She was probably kicked out of the Order for something or other who wasn't there long enough to properly learn how to perform spells and incantations and is trying to get back at them. In the scene with the rat, she didn't get the incantation (or spell, whichever one it is) right the first time and had to try again. I'd be surprised if she ends up playing a semi-significant role.

But now that I've said that, since I watched the trailer for this season, which I'm starting to regret a little, maybe she will play a significant role by performing magic recklessly and accidentally causing everything that was shown in the trailer, like summoning dangerous individuals or something. I didn't quite understand what was going on in the trailer. Regardless, while this wasn't that exciting of an episode, it was still a decent enough premiere and I'm looking forward to continuing watching the rest of this season to see what it'll be about and how everything will unfold.

What a major step up!

2x01 is a fantastic premiere that went above and beyond all of my expectations for this season. Many people disliked Season 1's ending and felt like it ruined the whole show, but 2x01 does a great job of "fixing" the memory wipe situation & providing a very entertaining storyline around it. Judging by the S2 trailer and the premiere episode, Netflix increased the budget for The Order by a noticeable amount & I really feel like it pays off well. The Order is such an extremely underrated show & I feel like the increased budget will help tremendously with attracting more viewers. Great premiere to what looks like an improved and even better season of the show!

Liked the first season but does every show now have to follow the trope women so smart & strong, men so weak & pathetic. Yawn

Umm, why?

After this episode, I was legitimately turned off from watching this series. I understand that a new season has to have shake things up, but it just felt emotionally discontinuous. Like, I loved the last season... I'm live of just tired of all the troped out "bad" characters. Every college magic show does it exactly the same way, omgee. 😒 I just don't feel like anything is genuine anymore; maybe the next episode will change that, if I ever decide to watch any more episodes after this. Nothing surprised me, at least not in a good way. I don't feel like delving in to spoiler territory, but I think I might have been better off just skipping this episode.

Let's ignore Season 1 key points

So the Order has a glove which stops folks from lying which the new Grand Magus gave to the member she's questioning, but doesn't even get it out to see if the member is lying??? Really stupid.
