The movie deeply moved me. While very disturbing subject matter, most of the film focused on the road to recovery from childhood trauma and PTSD. I found it to be very inspirational; giving me hope in my own fight to recover from childhood trauma and perhaps PTSD. I found hope in the victim's ability to overcome her trauma and I found hope in the treatment team's ability to help her find a way to make the best recovery possible. This hope was translatable to my own situation including my own treatment team. Both of which I had lost all hope in.
The production itself was high quality. Ann's direction and production was excellent. The cinematography was high quality. And the treatment team and supporting cast were excellent. Maddie herself did awesome as Executive Producer and in her parts.
