It's another case for the Toon Division as Lucky Picquel and Bonkers investigate reports of a wolf blowing down the houses of the three little... excuse me... Three Big Pigs. But when Bonkers goes undercover as a wolf himself, is he barking up the wrong tree? Written by
Did You Know?
The Three Big Pigs say, "At 9:43 every Tuesday morning, you can find the Mean Old Wolf at the doughnut stand at the corner of Magnolia and Lankershim, reading the paper and eating a danish". Magnolia and Lankershim do indeed intersect in North Hollywood. And while the doughnut stand is a copy of Randy's Donuts near LAX (with its famous doughnut sign), the southeast corner of Magnolia and Lankershim (as specified by the pigs) is a Starbucks. And yes, they do serve danish. Ironically, not only was the Starbucks not there during the run of the show (they broke ground in 1998), but a Big Donut Drive-In similar to Randy's Donuts really did exist in North Hollywood at one time... on the south-*west* corner of Magnolia and *Laurel Canyon*, now home to a Bank of America. (For extra irony, that Big Donut was long gone by the time Bonkers aired.) See more
The Three Big Pigs tell Bonkers that the Big Bad Wolf will be at the doughnut stand, reading the paper and eating a danish. In the next shot, while he is reading the paper, he's eating a plate of mini-donuts. See more
