For the next chapter in our Fave Five project, Movieline has enlisted the help of Chelsea Handler's right-hand pop-culture commentator, writer, comedian, and "Staff Homosexual" Guy Branum. The 30-year-old panelist on Chelsea Lately mixes self-deprecation, Jonas Brothers awe, and the occasional Joy Luck Club reference into an effective blend. Now, the TV expert gives us his Fave Five primetime moments of 2009 and includes the best reference to Casablanca since Animaniacs. »

If you are hoping to ring in the New Year with "American Idol" finalist Adam Lambert, you'd better book that ticket to Los Angeles.
Adam Lambert is performing live at the Times Square Stage on a Hollywood backlot for Gridlock 2009 New Year's Eve, hosted by Pamela Anderson.
But he tweeted Sunday morning, Dec. 27, "unfortunately Gridlocked Nye will Not be filmed/televised/streamed. It's a Live event only. Hope to see you there!!"
Bummer. After getting bumped from Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve on ABC, now we can't watch Adam Lambert at all! Take heart, though -- you can watch fellow "American Idol" season eight finalists Kris Allen and Allison Iraheta on Billboard's New Year's Eve on Fox performing live from the Las Vegas strip.
Update: We previously said the Gridlock event was in New York City. It is actually in Los Angeles. We were thrown by the "Times Square Stage. »

Khloe Kardashian's representative may have denied rumor that the TV personality is expecting her first child, but the next episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" unravels a different story. A preview to the December 27 episode exposes that the pregnancy word this time comes out from the mouth of her older sister, Kim Kardashian, herself.
Providing a look at the latest drama in the life of the Kardashians, the 30-second snippet teases a scene wherein Khloe asking Kim to promise not to tell anyone about her secret. Despite the promise, Kim can be seen spilling the beans to their mother Kris Jenner. "Promise you won't say anything," the 29-year-old says before dropping the bomb, "Khloe is pregnant."
Words of Khloe having a bun in the oven have been swirling for a while now after Media Take Out pointed out that the 25-year-old socialite is sporting a baby bump while wearing a tight purple dress. »

Have you ever been so proud of a particularly cheesy Christmas card that you kept it around forever? Well, the Kardashians do, and they’ve posted them all online for your viewing pleasure!
If you thought your family knew how to do Christmas the right way, just try keeping up with the Kardashians! To get into the holiday spirit, 25-year-old Khloe Kardashian posted her fam’s old Christmas cards on her blog, and they’re a riot!
“It’s no secret that my family has always been into photo shoots, but my mom was always really big on the family holiday cards,” Khloe wrote on Dec. 16. “Each year we would get everyone together and my mom always thought of the most ridiculous themes…hence the Harley Davidson one! Lol.”
Yes, you read correctly. The Jenner/Kardashian brood actually went to a studio and took a themed picture complete with a Harley and leather jackets! »

Beware, reality stars are taking over late night television. First, the three Jersey Shore cast members with the best nicknames -- "The Situation", Snooki and Pauly D -- hit Jimmy Kimmel Live! to recreate the Christmas story and then they blew Jay Leno's mind during Jaywalk All-Stars, which is basically an SNL Jeopardy sketch. Also featured in a late night doubleheader was Adam Lambert, who visited Chelsea Lately and the Jay Leno Show. For each of those reality star moments, plus the other highlights you missed while rethinking your awards campaign, join us after the jump. »

Update: Lambert's appearance resulted in "Chelsea Lately's" biggest audience ever -- 1.3 million viewers.
Adam Lambert stopped by "Chelsea Lately" Wednesday night -- and now we just want to have margaritas with Adam and Chelsea. Video below.
We are big fans of Chelsea Handler's interviews. Sure, at times she is abrasive, but for the most part she's frank and funny and actually asks interesting questions. Our favorite part of the Adam Lambert interview is the discussion about tripping on acid when deciding to audition for "American Idol."
Adam says that while he was tripping on acid, he had an epiphany about who he should be as an artist and that he needed to make things happen, instead of waiting for things to happen to him. Chelsea responds, "I'm so lucky that when I was tripping on acid there was no 'American Idol.'"

Wednesday night, Adam Lambert chatted about acid-tripping on Chelsea Lately, participated in a random mistletoe fail cameo on The Jay Leno Show, and sang "Whataya Want From Me" on his home planet/channel, Fox! Sadly, EW.com's Idoloonie-in-chief Michael Slezak spent Adam's banner night in some other country, likely hoping his iPod battery doesn't run out so he can finish out his "Sweatin' to the Idols Vol. 29″ playlist while floating around on a lily pad. So I feel it's my duty to make this announcement: Adam Lambert's performance on the season 6 finale of So You Think You Can Dance was geeeeeeenius. »

Adam Lambert, it was only a few weeks ago that ABC banned you from Good Morning America and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, causing the hilarious Chelsea Handler to announce on Dec. 4, “You can come on my show Adam Gay Lambert!”
And that’s exactly what you’re doing! Today, Chelsea tweeted, “Adam Lambert is on the show for an interview tonight. Take that, ABC.”
So what if you’re not welcome on Gma and were also kicked off ABC’s New Years Eve special? Going on Chelsea Lately is way better!
We can’t wait to see the two of you banter about your guy-on-guy kiss at the American Music Awards (which Chelsea totally defended) and hopefully you will even get to perform something. Will you be watching. »

A record number of celebrities came out in 2009, making it that much easier for the next one.
Gay celebrities used to mostly follow one of two formulas for coming out:
1. Get caught in an personal situation by a tabloid, i.e. Danny Pintauro
2. Get tired of not being out and call up favorite lifestyle magazine to break the news gently to their three fans who hadn’t already succumbed to the rumors. i.e. Ellen DeGeneres, Lance Bass
But something new happened in 2009, because the path to a celebrity's closet door became as varied as it is for those of us in the real world. We had the “I was always out” or the “casual mention” coming out. Then we added the “bring the boyfriend to an event” coming out which took the nonchalant route. And perhaps then there is most interesting: the “product tie-in” which, as far as I know, »

They may have not placed first or second on Dancing with the Stars, but at least this couple isn't working immediately after their season on the ABC show. Season 9 third-placers Kelly Osbourne and her professional partner Louis Van Amstel were recently spotted chilling in Miami for a much-needed couples holiday with their respective boyfriends.
A little pause. Yes, Louis is gay. The boyfriend did a little cameo on his and Kelly's guest-appearance on Chelsea Lately.

Little Mason Dash Disick is already having trouble keeping up with his family. Just a few hours after Kourtney Kardashian birthed a baby boy, sister Kim and mom Kris "Don't Call Me Grandma" Jenner were off to share the love with Chelsea Lately. "When I found out she went into labor and had the baby, I said, 'Oh, do we have to get a replacement guest?'" host Chelsea Handler said in greeting her guests. "And [my producers] were like 'No they would never miss a television appearance.'" "Never—never!" agreed Kim. "[Mason]'s in my dressing room—is that wrong?" added Kris. Rumor has it, Molly Sims and Aaron Eckhart have decided to call off their romance less than a month after she confirmed that they were an item. According to Star Magazine, the model-turned-actress was dumped by 41-year-old actor over the phone. Of the reason why the Harvey Dent/Two Face of "The Dark Knight" ended the romance over the phone, a source said, "He's an incredibly private guy."
The source then went on to mention that Molly had made Aaron angry by playing it coy when being asked about the nature of her relationship with him during her appearance on "Chelsea Lately" in November. Shortly after that, the "Yes Man" beauty allegedly made the actor upset once again by publicly telling the press about their romance.
Molly Sims was first romantically linked to Aaron Eckhart in November 17 after they were reportedly snapped having dinner together in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at Sullivan's Steakhouse a week before. »

On last night’s episode of Chelsea Lately, hilarious comedian Chelsea Handler spoke out about Adam Lambert being pulled off ABC show Good Morning America, and now, as it was just announced, Jimmy Kimmel and the networks New Year’s Eve show.
But Chelsea, ever the activist, shouted, “You can come on this show Adam Gay Lambert!”
The blond trash talking host also pointed out that it was “Not Ok” to accept a kiss between Madonna and Britney Spears, but not a kiss between Adam Lambert and a male keyboardist.
So, Adam … will we see you on Chelsea’s show soon? »
