Kate Bosworth's spokesperson has denied reports that she married fiancé Michael Polish over the Christmas holidays. The 29-year-old Straw Dogs actress took to Twitter on Wednesday (December 26) and posted an image of Polish preparing food in the kitchen, with the caption: "My hubby, the baker". However, Bosworth's publicist quashed reports of a wedding, telling E! Online that the actress merely calls the director 'hubby' as a term of endearment. Bosworth spoke about (more) »

Lucas is Franklin Franklin, a clumsy recluse who embarks on a hapless cover-up after accidentally killing his landlord. Trapped in his seedy La apartment with the body of the landlord on the kitchen floor, Franklin is surrounded by eccentric neighbors, including a stoner (Johnny Knoxville, Jackass: The Movie) and his girlfriend (Rebel Wilson, Pitch Perfect), a wanna-be stripper (Juno Temple, Killer Joe) and an artist (James Caan, The Gambler). To add to his problems, a drunk investigator (Billy Crystal, When Harry Met Sally) is questioning him about his landlord. But none of this fazes Franklin as he dreams of Switzerland, and waits »
Kate Bosworth is going to be one very skinny bride. The naturally slim 29-year-old looked tinier than ever when she stepped out with fiance Michael Polish on Monday, Dec. 17. Wearing a loose-fitting blouse and dark-colored jeans that hugged her long, lean legs, the Straw Dogs actress enjoyed a casual lunch in Beverly Hills with her director beau of more than a year. The happy couple were all smiles as they strolled hand-in-hand to their car. However, Bosworth has said in the past that she tends to slim [...] »

A story of friendship, Robot & Frank is a charming movie with a great cast, so it’s a surprise that Sony has made it available only on DVD, with no Blu-ray.
The film stars Frank Langella (All Good Things) as, well, Frank, an ex-jewel thief who lives alone away from his two grown children (Armeggedon‘s Liv Tyler and Straw Dogs‘ James Marsden). Worried about his father’s wellfare, Marsden gives Frank a robot caretaker. At first, Frank resists his new roommate, but when he discovers the robot has some unique talents, Frank softens and the two begin to be friends. Until the law comes after them…
Robot & Frank was highly acclaimed by critics. »

While Guardians Of The Galaxy may be the weirdest, most oblique and obscure of Marvel Studios’ film slate to this point, it looks like it won’t lack for star power. We haven’t heard much about the project since it was announced that James Gunn (Super, Slither, Scooby Doo) was hired to write and direct the project, but now we have some casting news.
Apparently a whopping eight actors are in the running to play Peter Quill (or Star-Lord), the likely lead of the film and the squad of heroes. He will join a roster that includes Drax the Destroyer, Groot, Rocket Racoon, and Gamora as they protect the galaxy from villainy (probably Thanos).
So who do they have auditioning for the part?

Ld Entertainment have released a trailer for director and star Katie Aselton's new survival thriller 'Black Rock'. Arriving next May the feature stars a threesome of gorgeous ladies that of Lake Bell ('Childrens Hospital'), Kate Bosworth -below ('Straw Dogs') and of course Aselton who has already promised us a necessary nude scene in the flick in throwback to sexploitation of genre features past. The trailer itself oozes familiarity and sadly lacks any real substance but hopefully the movie upon release will surprise even this cold hearted cynic. Aselton helms and produces from a script provided by Mark Duplass ('Jeff, Who Lives at Home'). 'Black Rock' co-stars Alana Costello, Jay Paulson and Anslem Richardson. Head below for the trailer. »
'cause there are crazy people out there. And because the trailer shows you the entire movie anyway.
The art of the movie trailer continues to elude Hollywood as the first look at director Katie Aselton's wilderness thriller makes for yet another preview that gives away several major plot points and strongly hints at certain character deaths.
It's really too bad, as it looks like the element of surprise plays a major part in this flick, with Aselton also co-starring along with Lake Bell and Kate Bosworth (who's a pro at this sort of scenario following her turn in last year's "Straw Dogs" remake) as a group of childhood friends who embark on a weekend getaway that ends up becoming a fight for survival when they come across a group of redneck hunter-psycho-rapist-killers with vague ties to their past.
Anyway, if you don't care either way, check out the trailer below, »

As if relations between the sexes weren’t strained enough already, along comes Black Rock, a new thriller from writer Mark Duplass (from everything) and director Katie Aselton (The Freebie) that looks like it’s going to fan the flames further, ensuring that we get at least another year of clueless nincompoops publicly declaring their unsettling opinions about rape. The basic story follows three ladies (Aselton, Lake Bell, and Kate Bosworth) who trek out to an isolated island where they used to have camping trips when they were young; you know, to rekindle lost youth or something. When they’re out there though, the island proves to not be as isolated as they thought. They happen upon a group of three very male hunters (Will Bouvier, Jay Paulson, and Anslem Richardson), one of the ladies gets a little frisky with a bearded gentleman around the campfire, and then he gets way handsy and his buddies suddenly turn »

A few days ago we brought you news that a few names were in the frame to take the role of jungle-dwelling King Of The Apes, Tarzan in a new take on Edgar Rice Burrough’s iconic character. Warner Bros. are the studio behind this latest vision of the young boy left to live and grow up amongst the chimps, with four-time Harry Potter directer David Yates the man tasked with giving us the familiar tale to a new generation.
Well it appears Alexander Skarsgard has beaten off competition from Charlie Hunnam and Henry Cavill to land the coveted role, and was said to be Yates preferred choice. Another name being bandied about and rumoured to be Warners’ first choice was Tom Hardy, but was said to not interested. Skarsgard is best known for his role in HBO’s vampire series True Blood and was last seen on the big-screen »

It seems like the Barack Obama phenomenon has not only captivated the American people but is also influencing Hollywood with a number of White House related films soon to be released. Olympus Has Fallen - which centres on a White House terrorist attack - is due to be released next year, but that hasn't stopped filmmaker Roland Emmerich (2012, The Day After Tomorrow) from directing his own Presidential action thriller called White House Down.
The new film stars Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained) as the U.S. President and Channing Tatum (Magic Mike) as a Secret Service agent who protects him during a terrorist attack on the White House. Via his Twitter account, director Emmerich treated fans to a first look at Jamie Foxx as U.S. President with a behind the scenes image:
Amazing how a film franchise that began as an earnest attempt to produce a Lord of the Rings-style epic fantasy has turned into a series of films about world-weary killers for hire getting zapped back to medieval times.
Dominic Purcell is the third actor Uwe Boll has recruited to serve In the Name of the King. “Prison Break” and Straw Dogs remake star Purcell replaces Dolph Lundgren’s suicidal soldier of fortune from part two as the latest assassin to experience a life-changing journey to a time of sword & sorcery in desperate need of a hero in Uwe Boll’s In the Name of the King III.

An amateur detective with extraordinary powers of perception teams with a professional crime-fighter to solve murders and banter flirtatiously. Tonight on CBS, it’s The Mentalist, starring Simon Baker as the natural born Sherlock and Robin Tunney as his badge-carrying Watson. Your five things to know about season 5 (unless you don’t dig such tips and teases, so… Spoiler Warning!):

“Superman Returns’” Lois Lane, Kate Bosworth (last seen in the remake of “Straw Dogs”) has joined the cast of the Sylvester Stallone-scripted “Homefront”, an action movie set to be directed by Gary Fleder (“The Express “) for Millennium Films. “Homefront” has the always ready to rumble Jason Statham playing a burned out ex-dea agent who moves to a small, quiet town with his family in order to start over. But, alas, that’s not to be for our hero. Trouble arises when he cross paths with drug traffickers, including one particularly nasty meth kingpin name Gator, to be played by James Franco. Yes, it’s James Franco vs. Jason Statham. Just to with it… Bosworth would play Gator’s meth-addicted sister, who we’re told “inadvertently starts the feud when her son, a bully, gets his butt handed to him by Statham’s daughter at school. She turns to Gator, »
All of the week's hot casting news in one fell swoop ...
• We wouldn't mind getting snowed in with this trio! The Hollywood Reporter calls for stormy weather as "Project X" star Miles Teller will star opposite Analeigh Tipton and Jessica Szohr in "Two Night Stand," a romantic indie that centers on a pair of twentysomething strangers who awaken after an ill-advised one-night stand to find themselves snowed in by a blizzard that’s put all of Manhattan on ice.
• After playing a victim in "Straw Dogs," Kate Bosworth is looking to be the rabble-rouser this time around. Heat Vision reports that the "Blue Crush" beauty will be playing James Franco's revenge-minded (and meth-addicted) sister in "Homefront," the action thriller starring Jason Statham and written by Sylvester Stallone.

As Krysten Ritter learned earlier this year when her ABC sitcom, Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23, premiered simultaneously as the movie she co-wrote, Life Happens, hit theaters, timing is everything. And if you missed the indie's theatrical debut, now is the time for you to catch the charming tale of three best friends and a baby.
Joining Krysten in the film she co-wrote, co-produced and co-stars in are Kate Bosworth, Rachel Bilson, Geoff Stults, Kristen Johnston, Justin Kirk, Rhys Coiro, Colin Egglesfield and Jason Biggs. I caught up with Krysten to talk about Life's long road from script to screen, and everything that happened in between.
TheInsider.com: Life Happens is clearly a labor of love for you -- but was it harder than expected to get it into theaters?
