NAILED is a strange movie to watch but if you're a fan of odd, underground, low budget film-making it's worth a look. According to the trivia section NAILED's production budget was $1000. If that's the case many of the films shortcomings can be forgiven.
The plot seems both simple and convoluted at the same time. How the characters are connected isn't very clear, though it wraps itself up tidily in the end with a convenient Mexican stand-off that seems to take up a good chunk of NAILED's running time.
There's barely any dialog, save one or two long rants by 'The Doktor' during some sort of brain removal / zombification process and a long, poignant one shot monologue by 'The Daughter' that while well performed seems more at home in a more conventional film.
The performances are uneven: good, bad and ugly - but this somehow just adds to the entertainment - and the bizarre character surprises, for instance what the malfunctioning hit-man 'The Suit' does in his spare time, the sexual revelation of two macho characters or a drug binge by 'The Doktor' and a prostitute are all funny scenes.
There's blood and gore - CG and practical - sometimes well executed, sometimes laughably bad but enough characters get whacked to keep NAILED entertaining, if you're into that sort of thing.
