Sex & Nudity

  • No nudity.
  • As always, Gerry Standing tries to pick up one of his nurses but she informs Gerry she is gay. Gerry claims that he is too. She then applies a neck brace roughly and Gerry complains that he is not into S & M.
  • A suspect flirts with Gerry.
  • A nurse admits to having had an affair with one of the doctors.

Violence & Gore

  • On two separate occasions, characters attempt to run down and kill pedestrians, one who is lying prone in a car park. Both attempts are interrupted.
  • There is blood evident after the car accident and several members are bandaged, wearing neck braces etc throughout the episode.
  • A man attempts to smother a hospital patient. Another man stops him and a fight ensues. A man is hit over the head with an oxygen tank and knocked unconscious.


  • Occasional blasphemy - "Oh Christ" - and profanity - "shit", "shithole", "buggered".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • DCI Hardwick believes that Gerry would prefer to work in an office that had beer all over the walls and six months of cigarette ash under his feet.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The episode begins with a nasty car accident which leaves the four members of UCOS hospitalised.
  • Euthanasia, teen suicide and child molestation are discussed and may be disturbing to some.
