This is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. The beginning was a little slow (i.e. the first 20 minutes or so) but after that it got absolutely hysterical. This isn't a movie with a lot of funny and quotable lines, it's more of a fun parody. The end makes virtually no sense, but it is still one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
The CGI isn't that great, but that's almost the point. Comedies are funnier when they don't have these huge CGI budgets. The monsters are funny, and their appearances are always accompanied by hysterical descriptions of their abilities and weaknesses.
As I already said, everyone in the theater was almost rolling in the aisles during the last half hour.
