Storyline

In the 'Others' village, Kate is living with Claire and she secretly contacts Miles, held captive in a pump shack, in order to discover what he knows about her past as a fugitive. Miles proposes to Kate to arrange a brief meeting with Ben, in return he would tell her the information she requested. Kate asks Sawyer to help her and she lures Locke, getting what she wanted. But Locke finds out and expels Kate from the camp. Meanwhile, in a flash-forward, Kate is back in Los Angeles where she goes on trial for murder of her stepfather where the main witness is her own mother. Goofs

Kate is being tried in California, despite having committed her crime in Kansas. In the United States, murder is a crime at the state rather than federal level and murder trials are conducted in the state where the crime occurred. From what has been shown in Lost, Kate has committed no crimes in California and so would not be charged there. Even if her flight from prosecution was a federal crime it would most likely be prosecuted in the federal court serving Kansas and not in California. It also likely that the state charge of murder, being the more serious offense, would take priority over any federal charges she might face. See more »

Kate is living with Claire and contacts Miles trying to discover what he knows about her past of runaway of the justice. Mile proposes Kate to arrange a brief meeting with Ben and in return he would tell her the requested information. Kate asks Sawyer to help her and she lures Locke, getting what she wanted. Meanwhile, in a flash-forward, Kate goes to trial where the main witness is her own mother.

"Eggtown" is centered in Kate and so far it is the best episode of the Fourth Season, in spite of having no new revelation. The totalitarian behavior of Locke is despicable, imposing his leadership by force; the relationship between Miles group and Ben is still a great mystery; and the final twist of the episode when Kate comes back home is totally intriguing. My vote is nine.
