Trivia

The novel includes a scene in which Bridget Jones interviews Colin Firth; however, as Firth was already playing Mark Darcy in the film, no satisfactory way could be found to film the scene. The situation was remedied by filming it as a DVD feature with Renée Zellweger in character as Bridget Jones and Firth playing himself. See more »
