A beautiful little comedy

Wow, did this short film catch me by surprise. Considering it's only about eight minutes long and is about two people arguing over a fruit pie, it's amazingly deep and satisfying...even if the fruit pie turns out to be less than they'd hoped.

The film starts out with a man and woman entering a convenience store to get a snack. Both simultaneously reach for the last fruit pie and they begin to argue over who should get to have it. The lady suggests that a gentleman would let her have it, but he responds that the one whose life is the worst truly deserves the pie. Each then tells how their romantic lives are in shambles and the film ends with the pair coming to realize that they both have an awful lot in common.

This film is very well written and acted--and it's a lot better than you'd usually find in an independent short film. A lovely comedy-romance that hooked me with its novel approach and winning style. I sure hope to see more from the folks who made the film--they have quite a touch and I predict excellent things from them in the future...provided people get to see this sweet film.

Whoa! What an original film!

Whoa! What an original film! I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I think as a fellow filmmaker that is saying a lot. It literally engaged me from the moment it started and kept me until the end. I honestly related and grew to really enjoy the two main characters during the film, which is quite a task considering this film is less than ten minutes long. I would definitely suggest anyone to watch it! I'm just sorry I didn't make it first. :)

Have a great day,
