Plot holes

After Nathan flies a nuclear charged Peter into the air he explodes, yet the lights and the power in New York City remain undisrupted. All of the power should have gone out due to the Compton effect. When a nuclear explosion occurs in the atmosphere, it creates an E.M.M.A. pulse; a photon wave of up to 50 Billion Megawatts. (Such a feat was displayed in an earlier episode when Ted Sprague shorted out the power in the Primatech Paper building in order to escape.)
