Rattrap and Dinobot temporarily stay in the air before they fall, with Rattrap's gun is left hanging in the air. This pays homage to the early Looney Tunes cartoons, particularly Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner (which were renowned for the "sadly temporary defiance of gravity" gag).
Rattrap calls Dinobot a "pre-evolved birdbrain." This alludes to a scientific discovery that birds evolved from "Dromaeosaurid" dinosaurs (i.e. raptors, like Dinobot).
After the dust settles when the Maximals blast into Tarantulas' lab, they are all in the position of a famous Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) theatrical poster, complete with Airazor half on the ground at Primal's feet with one hand affectionately placed on his leg. The shot is a parody of the stereotypical heroic entrance/posturing scene. Once Rattrap walks under and through Megatron's legs and undermines the moment, as evidenced by the musical score, Airazor can be seen standing normally with the other Maximals.
Dinobot speaks of "Silicon Valhalla." This is a portmanteau of Valhalla (the Norse mythological heaven warriors go to after they fall in battle) and Silicon Valley (the famed San Francisco area where computer chips are manufactured).
