TonyBarber Alyce Platt & Peter Smith
10 May 2008 | by (Australia) – See all my reviews

Its sure was nice to see that Tony Barber,Alyce Platt & Peter Smith still had it in them. It's been a while since Tony & Alyce worked on Sale Of The Century, Peter was on there until the end. I've been thinking, if it wasn't for Sale's rename, they would still be on the air today, but I don't know if it would continue with Glenn Ridge & Karina Brown, or they'd hire Ed Phillips & Livinia Nixon. Livinia did a good job on Sale Of The Century when she stood in for Nickey Buckley during her 1st week off, when she took some time off to prepare for her 2nd child Jasper. I think the new format was a bad idea, I mean if the carryover champion was trailing, they could always come through in the fast money & win. Like Tony Barber,Glenn Ridge & Ed Phillips use to say anything can happen. It was nice on the burglar in the 2nd year on Temptation that you get $5 on your score from the person you steal it from on 1 of the Temptation Twists, but on Sale Of The Century on the Cash Card, on the specials, they use to have a take $5 Card on the special events from 1994-1999 in the special's they only had the car in the normal game, but in 2000, they replaced the Prize card with the Take 5 Card, too bad it didn't go on to the other opponents scores. In the specials from 2000-2001, they replaced the Car with the Bonus Spin if you spin it up, you get another spin.
