It has been announced that the first casting of the upcoming Fox X-Men series is in the books, if you will. My mother being Cherokee makes this yummy for me, as the character is being referred to as "Sam" and is being described as "the strong-headed Native American leader of the underground network." The character is being played by Blair Redford and the show's brief synopsis is as follows:
"The drama will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive."
"It's designed to sidestep questions like, 'Where is Wolverine?' You have to answer those questions. It exists in a world where those questions »

The Mission Impossible franchises has truly been revving up with almost every installment. As the sixth film nears production, a shooting location seems to be set.
Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt has been all over the world for the Imf. Stopping as many world ending catastrophes as he possibly could. Mission Impossible 2 ventured to Australia while M:i 3 hit up America. We famously got Cruise hanging off a building in Dubai for Ghost Protocol, and Rogue Nation was based primarily in London and Vienna. Now it looks like M:i 6 will be shooting in Paris, France.
Christopher McQuarrie returns as the first director to helm two M:i films. Flickering Myth get excited for the year ahead of us…
After a fairly below-average year at the cinema last year, we here at Flickering Myth are feeling rather hopeful for 2017. There are some fantastic films lined up; including a load of comic book movies, the return of Christopher Nolan and King Kong, a new Alien film and a War for the Planet of the Apes. There’s even a new Blade Runner film! Wait… King Kong, Alien, Planet of the Apes, Blade Runner… are we sure this isn’t 1987?..
Twenty-one of our writers voted for a whopping forty-seven movies, with a very tight final top ten. Last year Captain America: Civil War topped our most anticipated movies beating out Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Deadpool and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It’s probably fair to say that at least three of those movies delivered, but we’ll let you decide which ones. »
