Not an average party
3 August 2017 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

While the last episode wasn't bad in any way, apart from the big stunt it felt a bit flat. This episode however is much better, and builds on the Sam Tyler mystery, while also offering a good crime story as well.

It's really nice to see Annie being given more to do, and it was fun to see her and Sam having to play at being a couple at the seedy party.

As ever of course there are some lovely Gene Hunt and an episode doesn't go by without me thinking "he could never get away with saying that now". He is a great character.

A much better episode
