Prior to its debut on Broadway, portions of the original production of "Night of the Auk" were enacted for the CBS Television Program "Eye On New York". The program aired on CBS Television from 2:00-2:30 PM, Eastern Time. According to the press release, this was the first time that a network television station aired scenes from a play before it opened on Broadway.
