"Cinemaniacs" sounded like my kind of episode. Am a fan of 'Tiny Toon Adventures', but will admit that some episodes are better than others and not all of them work. Those that do work work brilliantly. This had one of the show's best concepts that sounded like one that the show would have a lot of fun with and would play to their strengths, 'Tiny Toon Adventures' spoofing movie types just seemed like a match made in heaven.

That's exactly how "Cinemaniacs" turned out to be. For me it is one of my favourite early 'Tiny Toon Adventures' episodes and towards the top end when ranking, meaning one of my favourites overall. One of its best concepts and one of its most inspired episodes. Anybody that loves the show (include myself here), that loves film of all decades and genres (same again) and loves it when they are spoofed (again same again) should really love it. That was certainly the case here.

Everything works with the animators, writers and voice actors all making it abundantly clear that a lot of fun was had making "Cinemaniacs" and when that's the case the viewer does too. The animation is typically meticulous in its background art, neat and expressive in character designs and bright and colourful, with some deliciously and inventively wacky facial expressions and reactions. "Cinemaniacs" contains some of the best music of the show, especially in "Pasadena Jones" where Bruce Broughton's talent was on full display. The theme song is as hip and infectious as ever.

Absolutely loved how all three segments, yes it's one of the more-than-one-segment episode again and one of the best of the early ones, comprising the episode. "SuperBabs" and "Duck Trek" showcase Babs and Plucky to a tee, "Duck Trek" containing some of Plucky's best ever character writing and Babs shows why she is one of the show's best characters. The best of the three for me is "Pasadena Jones", the funniest, most imaginative and most exciting though "Duck Trek" in the latter stages is the wackiest. The warparounds also don't wear out their welcome, while those that tend to take Furrball and Montana Max in small doses should not find them a problem.

From the very start to the very end the razor sharp wit is prominent, reminding one of classic Looney Tunes, complete with lovely nostalgia and at times a wonderful strangeness like in "Duck Trek". The voice acting is terrific, although Charlie Adler, Tress MacNeille and Joe Alaskey are the stars here the episode is interesting to hear Furrball speak in a relatively rare occurance and not be voiced by Frank Welker, instead Rob Paulsen who proves to be a good fit (neither too cute or too mature).

Overall, wonderful. 10/10
