Omar vs Marlo
22 July 2012 | by (Turkey) – See all my reviews

Stanfield soldiers are looking for Omar everywhere, but they don't know that he is hiding in the basement of the building he jumped. After death of Prop. Joe, New Day Co-Op is running by Marlo Stanfield. He takes the control of whole drug shipment of both West and East sides. Meanwhile Omar badly hurts his leg and is determined to get revenge. First he shows his face to "Fat Face Rick" and tells him to spread to word that Marlo is weak. Later to prove this, he intervenes Marlo's cash pickup, wounds Stanfield soldier, and burns money with Stanfield SUV. He wants to show Marlo that he acts with vengeance now, rather than greed.

Baltimore Sun editor Scott Templeton continues his "false" investigation of Jimmy's serial killer. He spends his night with homeless and makes an interview with one of them. But unbeknowst to him, Editor Guy Haynes starts to think he is faking all his reports.

Homicide Detective Bunk Moreland and Kima Greggs continue their investigation on homeless bodies. A human error on DNA samples make their jobs a lot harder and Bunk decides to follow kids' trail. He first talks to Randy, whom has his first appearance since season 4, but gets nothing. Later he talks with Michael Lee's mother and learns that he is cooperating with Chris and Snoop.

Mayor Carcetti attends to ribbon-cutting ceremony for port side condos where he sees the media's lack of interest. Later he attends to press conference about serial killer where he berates media for their over interest about serial killer. At his office he thinks about solving this serial killer case to get himself elected as governor.

Seeing the hard way of faking another murder, McNulty comes up with a creative solution that will help Freamon's wiretap, but he feels guilty because of his solution way.

4 episodes left on The Wire, and stones are about to sit in to their place. Omar is hitting Marlo hard and one of them will lose this battle in upcoming episodes. Bunk may accidentally(or luckily) break down Stanfield Organization by following his "Michael Lee" trail. McNulty's fake serial killer is becoming more dangerous and it will either help bring down Stanfield or ruin the detectives' careers.(maybe even puts them to jail)

We are witnessing best episodes ever on TV. Keep watching. My vote is 10/10.
