It's Getting More Complex Now
13 July 2012 | by (Turkey) – See all my reviews

7 episodes left, and the storyline seems becoming more complex than ever. I guess many of these great show's characters' paths will cross just before or while season finale.

McNulty is continuing on creating his "imaginary" serial killer. He ties red ribbons on victim's wrists to mark a serial killer stamp. But this plan doesn't get the attention he needed. Moreover Bunk is getting more disturbed by Jimmy's efforts and brings Detective Freamon to talks Jimmy out of this idea. But his plan backfires and Freamon gives McNulty advices about how to make this serial killer thing more famous.I think that this serial killer business may cost their careers at the end.

Carcetti gets the news from Valchek that crime stats are rising. He then calls Burrell, and he gives him "juiced" stats, and he done the thing Carcetti wants: He gives Carcetti a good hand to get himself fired from his commissioner position. Carcetti is ready to put Daniels in commissioner seat, but Burrell knows some dirty secrets about Daniels. I really liked Daniels in this entire show. He always tries to stay true in his path, and he deserves his seat now. But if he becomes next commissioner now, and Burrell leaks his secrets to media, I think it may be a quick but hard fall for Daniels. I hope he becomes next Commissioner "cleanly."

There are leaf falls for Baltimore Sun. They are getting smaller because of pushes from Chicago and now they are expected "more with less."

Marlo Stanfield tries to get in touch with Greeks. He launders his money and even goes Antilles to check his money. Meanwhile, Cheese snitch about Omar's best friend Butchie and him and his men killed by Chris and Snoop to carry a message to Omar. I hope this Stanfield Organization falls apart. Because they are getting very dangerous(more dangerous than Barksdales) and I sure hope either McNulty or Omar put a stop to this.

Omar is living his life peacefully with Renaldo in Puerto Rico, but black messages arrives faster. I think he will back with a vengeance to rip apart Stanfield Empire.

Michael is running his corner now. An entertainment suggestion comes from Dukie, and they live their childhood maybe for the first time. Since they left school, I think this is the only episode they feel what is it to be like teenager again. But when they come back, Michael finds angry lieutenants asking about his whereabouts. I don't think this corner life is suitable for Michael. He's slowly regretting this life, and maybe in later episodes he may try to leave Stanfield Organization.

My vote is 10/10.
