Review of "The Big Lie"
9 September 2013 | by See all my reviews

This episode was the beginning of the McGee & me series and it centres all around the moral of honesty.

The story begins with the martin family moving in with Grandma martin, a sweet old lady who lives in eastfield's suburbia. Since he's new to the neighbourhood, Nicholas martin, or simply known as Nick, wants to make a first good impression, and by doing so, lies about a strange neighbour of his. His lie only temporarily makes him a hero, but in the end, leaves him feeling guilty - especially after his grandmother tells him about how the strange Indian is actually a caretaker for injured animals.

For a pilot (That's technically what it is) it's pretty good. it's not like those big series in which the first episode is a pitch and usually has a different cast than the episodes that come after (M*A*S*H and Gilligan's Island had that problem) It's a good start for the episodes that come after.
