Got a chance to go to an early screening.

The movie is pretty ridiculous. In an entertaining way. Without giving too much away, not that it really matters, but, it's essentially Dazed and Confused with old dudes "soul" surfing and LOTS of weed, lemme repeat. LOTS of weed. I think they almost out do Cheech and Chong.

The whole movie's pretty much just McConaughey and Woody Harrelson getting blazed with the occasional gratuitous tits shot. I think there was one scene where it was just boobies, lots and lots of boobies for like 8 minutes.

I thought it was pretty funny though. McConaughey was sorta playing a exaggerated version of himself. He didn't wear a shirt the entire movie, he's barefoot no matter where he goes. It really felt like he was playing the grown up version of Wooderson from Dazed and Confused. But he was making fun of himself so that was kinda entertaining. Woody was playing his manager and he's never looked more baked.

The story was a little contrived but it didn't ruin anything, the rest of the movie was so over the top that it almost didn't matter. The story revolved around McConaughey being this epic "Soul Surfer". And when the waves die down in Malibu one day he needs to make money so Woody concocts these ideas to get him making money. First on this surfing reality show and get him mo-capping for a surf videogame... Anyway I won't give away anything, but I felt the story was probably dreamt up over a bong load or ten which sorta works in it's advantage.

It almost reminded me of like a Cheech and Chong movie, the whole time I was sitting there wondering how high they must've been to come up with some of this stuff.

Also, I wanna say, the main chick in the movie... HOLY CRAP! So Hot... I think her name's Sarah Wright. Such a knock out. Only thing I'd seen her in before was that Fox show with the kid from Reaper, The Loop. She was the hot blonde... Anyways. Google her immediately cause she's super crazy hot (and surprisingly pretty funny). Forget Megan Fox. This chick's for real. And she's got no problem with nudity... Totally worth price of admission alone.

Okay... Getting a little carried away here... Anyways... Like I was saying, she's also a very talented and charismatic actor...

So in summation; the movie was crazy. If you liked Dazed and Confused, which, I don't know too many people who don't. But if you do you'll find some enjoyment in this flick. Or if you really like weed jokes and naked people, than you're gonna freakin' love this movie.
