Plot Summary

  • An Innocent Man, Condemned by God, Persecuted for His Faith. Martyr is a controversial horror story based on the Book of Job from The Old Testament. Martyr tells the tale of John Banks, a devout catholic and lead singer in a band. When Lucifer convinces God to test John, Lucifer travels to him in the guise of talent agent. Immediately he sets about dividing the band, and then murders John's pregnant wife, Sarah. After tracking down Lucifer, his second test comes after he is subjected to hours of torture, and has to resist his friends' attempts to convince him to deny God. Alone and introspective, will John start to question his creator's motives?
