When I saw this short at the NYCHFF, some audience members laughed. Because, well, no one's going to make a film about a boy possessed by his pet chicken without a couple of chuckles here and there. But this film's a seriously stylish little short with some great physical acting by Jeffery Mills who remarkably makes the main character more sympathetic than parodic. The bookends on this film surprisingly work (although whether we're looking various generations of demonic chicken-possession or a neatly-packaged little tale about self-confidence is beyond me). However you choose to read this film, it's well-done.
