Trivia

When the surrogacy procedure is explained to Stan, he dismisses it as science fiction, claiming "I thought I saw every episode of Star Trek", then emphasizes that he had not seen Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993). In fact, a story arc in season 4 centered around a surrogate pregnancy to explain actress Nana Visitor's pregnancy. See more »

Goofs

Stan's plan to bring Liberty Bell to Nebraska, to stop Greg and Terry from raising her, would not actually work. While it is true that a gay couple can't adopt a baby in Nebraska, Liberty Bell is a surrogate child and thus is either Greg or Terry's biological child, though we aren't told which. See more »

Quotes

Klaus: Allow me to impress upon you the severe mistake you have made, for years my conduct has been largely benign and yet without provocation you have severed our détente and forced me to unleash upon you the vengeful flame of a thousand suns. You shall curse your mothers for the day of your birth. So go now... gooo and begin your life of fear, knowing, that when you least expect it, the looming sword of Damocles will crush down upon you cleaving you in twain and as you gaze upon the smoking wreckage...

The One Where Francine's A Surrogate...
31 October 2015 | by (Australia) – See all my reviews

I love this episode. I think it's so funny, and I love episodes where they center a lot of it around Greg, and Terry. They're just so funny.

In this episode, Francine agrees to be a surrogate for Greg, and Terry, her neighbors. But when Stan hears about this, all hell breaks loose. After the baby is born; yes this episode is based over nine months; Stan kidnaps her, and plans to take her to Nebraska, where he can legally keep the child from Greg, and Terry. That's just so mean. Eventually, everything settles itself out. Meanwhile, Steve, and Roger pull a prank on Klaus, that pushes him over the edge. Now, the two fear their every move, and they hide out in Hayley's closet for nine months.

Newspaper Headline: Bowler's Union Strikes.

Best part of the episode: Roger, and Steve hiding from Klaus.

Worst part of the episode: Stan's douchey-ness.

Overall, I give this episode a 10 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Freaking Ridonkulous.
