Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Violence & Gore

Gunshot wound is shown and the operation to get the bullet out of Klaatu (more below). Two scenes of explosions; one from the Military attacking Gort by droid aircraft and another of a helicopter collision. Four scenes of blood (not much, but drops), not much blood at all. A man trying to repair a drill realizes that bugs that can eat through anything are on him. He begs some people to open the door but they don't. Then they realize that the glass starts toi crack and flash the flash chamber with GORT in it.

Also, a scene where a police officer is crushed to death between two vehicles but is immediately revived by Klaatu.

Profanity

"My God" and "God, no" are used once, each by a different character. There is no other swearing.

None

when the alien lands on the earth he is shot by the military and then taken to a hospital where all his flesh tissues are taken off.this scene might be quite horrifying and frightening for the children...

Near the end, the locust degraders show intensity in destroying all objects and humans. Various structures are pulverized and humans killed by it. Scene unsuitable for probably under 8. Also bugs eat through people no blood is shown(can be disturbing)
